Look at that sweet face. It is none other than Brenda Sue Lansdowne, our sponsor for this Class and owner of B’sue Boutiques the supply house where the majority of us purchase our components. Let me also take this opportunity to thank Brenda for giving of her time and expertise these past three months. This has been such a fantastic experience where I have learned so much and can take what I have learned and run with it.
“The Final Reveal”
I am excited to share with you all what I have been working on these past few months for the Build A Line Master Challenge Class. It was tough going for me early on as I wasn’t sure what I was going to do. I had chosen my theme but now how do I pull it all together. I procrastinated for quite some time and then one day I just went into my studio, sat down, pulled my components together and started creating. It all just started flowing from everywhere and one idea after another. Sometimes it just takes that one little kick. So, without further adieu, I present to you my Classic Casual Hearts designs.
Beginning Components
Its all about hearts for my jewelry line. My business card says “Artisan Handmade Jewelry From The Heart” and what better to create jewelry with than these heart stampings from bsueboutiques.com. Its all about cohesiveness and I feel that I accomplished that.
This first piece is a simple heart pendant, outlined on the inside with rhinestone chain, a heart dangle and 18″ rolo chain. You will notice that I have inverted the heart and most all pieces in my line have an inverted heart, large or small. These very simple pendants can be done up in different metals and different colors of iced enamels.
Brooches are in and I love this one. I chose to add a bail pinback so that the brooch could easily be converted and worn as a pendant.
The focal on this bracelet is the rose faux opal surrounded by pearls and rhinestone chain. The bracelet consists of 3 strands, a pearl strand, white opal crystal strand and book chain. And of course a small iced enamel heart.
Princess Heart Pendant. The heart is cold connected to the angel wings and the heart is decorated with a silverware crown charm, rhinestone chain and a teardrop pearl.
Pendant and Earring Set
The metal components used in the pendant are a mix of raw brass, rosy copper and silverware. The inverted hearts are colorized with Turquoise Iced Enamel. The large hearts are decorated with silverware birds and the small ones with vintage MOP buttons.
My plan is to make a parure of this set to include a bracelet/cuff and ring.
Earrings
Who doesn’t love earrings? I happened to make a few with these hearts. And very easily a pendant can be made to match. I think they turned out pretty sweet.
Cuff (“Be Still My Heart”)
This cuff is made with an array of hearts colorized with Iced Enamels that have been placed on a B’sue silverware stamping and cuff. At the center is a 40mm vintage MOP button with a small silverware heart and ceramic flowers.
Statement Piece (Top of the Line)
The stampings for this piece are attached to a necklace blank and the flowers and hand are colorized with White and Pink Iced Enamel and Inka Gold Greenyellow
This has been quite a journey for me these past 3 months. I’m so glad I took that leap. It has opened my eyes and enriched my knowledge of the business. Thank you for stopping by to view the reveal of my line. Please continue on hopping with the list below.
